Temporary Visitors' Firearm Permits (NB: this is for cartridge firearms)
Please read this section carefully. It is very important, especially if this is your first shooting visit to the Isle of Man.

The Isle of Man is not part of the United Kingdom. It is a separate jurisdiction with its own legal system which means that FACs and Shotgun Certificates issued in the United Kingdom (and European Firearm Passes) are not valid in the Island.

Cartridge firearms and ammunition together with airguns and crossbows are regulated in the Isle of Man.

Visitors to the Island require temporary permits issued by the Isle of Man Police for all guns and cartridge ammunition.  Unfortunately, we are unable to make this an online application since the Police require a printed form.

Please download a form from the link below which should be returned, fully and accurately completed, to the Organisers at the address below (not direct to the Police) as early as possible. The Organisers will submit the application on your behalf. The Temporary Firearm Permit for cartridge rifles and ammunition is free.  Should you have any questions, do not hesitate to drop us an email or a quick call.

The application must be accompanied by a photocopy of your home jurisdiction FAC.

The closing date for permit applications to be received, to guarantee processing by the Police, is Friday 14th March 2025.

The requirement for the Police to have issued a temporary permit before your arrival in the Isle of Man is a mandatory legal position.
